Thoughts on the 2 Quest Pre-Inaugural cruises?

I received a notice yesterday of the Quest being delivered to Seabourn ahead of schedule. There are 2 cruises being offered before the Quest Maiden Voyage, June 20, 2011. A 3 day pre-inaugural on June 9th and an 8 day on June 12th.

I had thought of joining Sailor's for the Maiden sailing but due to a June family conflict could not book.

This "special sale" is being offered today, Friday, Sept.17th.

Yes, opening the Quest dining room for all meals would be convenient ~plus lowering the music in the Club during pre-dinner cocktails would be nice for those enjoying visitin' :p

Since we are still ten months away why not just offer those who have booked the maiden the chance to change their reservations to the earlier date and have that be the maiden. Pre maiden cruises mean those on the maiden will not be the first to sail the ship no matter what they say. This is what Royal Caribbean did with some of their ships.

Yes Henry,those folks that think they are on the maiden voyage are not,it will be the third voyage which will be a higher price than normal trip, but will include a party and some fireworks.

The two previous trips will in fact be guinea pig cruises.

Perhaps even subject to cancellation since we all know that things can get delayed.
