I was just reading a thread about HH cabins. How about H on the Zuiderdam? It looks as if it is the lifeboats that obstruct the view. Can you see anything? We have H 4070 - port side, mid ship, on our upcoming cruise.

The Zuiderdam is a different class of ship than the other thread was asking about. The lifeboats do hang in such a way that they are directly in front of the cabin windows on Upper Promenade on the Vista ships.

The windows are wall-to-wall, and floor-to-ceiling, though, so there is a great deal of light. Generally, you can look between, over, or through the lifeboat to see a bit of sea and sky.

This (yellow box) is your window from the outside. You'll be able to look over the sloping stern of the lifeboat when you are standing at your window.

Thanks for your replies - I'll practice standing on tiptoe to see over the lifeboat!
