San Diego- Oct 2011

We're looking for a cruise out of San Diego, October 2011. When I searched the Carnival site, nothing came up. :confused: Is there nothing out of San Diego or are the itineraries just not up yet? Any idea where the Spirit is then?

Everything is out that will be out ... or it should be. Ya never know when Carnival will make changes.

Spirit will be sailing 5- and 9-night itineraries out of LA (San Pedro).

Dang, I can't believe Carnival has NOTHING out of San Diego in October. :( bummer.

I checked a bit further, December 2011, and the Spirit is still doing LA departures. Are they abandoning San Diego? That is such a great, and convenient, port.

Spirit returns to San Diego sailings Jan-Mar 2012.

any idea why the Spirit is doing the cruise out of LA for the Fall months and then coming back to San Diego in Jan 2012?

It's an experiment. They don't think they are making as much revenue in San Diego so they are moving the Spirit to LA to see how that works out. Bottom line is they are unsure of what the future holds for the Spirit and San Diego.

I read awhile back that they were moving to San Pedro while some work was being done at the San Diego port.

Oh, I bet that's it! There is NOTHING out of San Diego in the Fall. Nuthin'. I can't believe all of the cruise lines would pull out of San Diego. OK, I feel a little better now. LOL I don't wanna lose the Spirit! :D
