When you got to the bottom of the slide....you splashed in the pool? :confused: Well not on the Pride...lol. I was soooooooo disappointed :D

There are precious few ships that still have a slide that ends in the pool... the Elation and the Paradise are the only ones that come to mind...

It's really better the way it is now... The height restriction has been lowered from 48 inches to 42 inches...

Plus it opens up the main pool area instead of it being congested with a slide in the way.

Picture it - it would be like "people bowling." Carnival could put all the obnoxious, drunk, line-cutting, chair hogging people at the bottom of the slide, and we'd get points towards the DOD or a ship on a stick for however many we knocked under the water.

Safety 1st! Can you imagine your 7 y.o. went down the side but did not more quickly enough before a 250# guy came down.

LOL! My sister and I said the same thing!

 

On a side note, there were these two, unsupervised!, boys about 6 or so that were stopping themselves on the slide and holding up the line. The Carnival guy standing at the top said nothing to them at all. My sister and had to threaten to come in after them to get them to move. Really do wish parents wouldn't just let their young kids roam the ship!
