I maintain a website called Cruise Ships visiting Barbados at URL..

http://www.angelfire.com/wizard2/cncisland/bigships/btown.html

which should give you some indication..

Admittedly some of the ships listed call in here infrequently

but there are many ships we see on a weekly or 2-weekly basis

during the winter cruise season.

Wow APLMAC .

I absolutely love it . Bookmarked it for future use . Thanks

Ah..you used the term "bookmarked"

-that means you're using the Firefox browser, no? :)

...................................................

There are a few 'new' (to the website) ships coming thru, starting in late October

I hope to be adding them (decent weather and light permitting) as and when they arrive.

Hah , Perceptive , I do use Firefox occasionally for some apps but I am one of the few Safari fans . Coming from Apple's system 7 to this G5 has been nothing but fun , never had windows and now that I can I'm scared of viruses . Thanks again for your link it will be viewed often looking for the additions , sooo jealous ! BB is a place I truly love , cruisin' or chillin at the Coconut Court for a few days . Ted

As long as you understand the Windoze system, and keep your system updates current,

chances of viruses are truly minimal, in these days of greatly improved MS operating systems.

Microsoft hasn't been playing catch-up with the Mac system fer nuthin, you know ;)

and by now MS OS'es like Win.7 are close to bullet-proof.

You'll notice my name is Aplmac...that's an ancient username I've had

since the days when I started in computers(late 1995)

- when I bought my first comp. - a second-hand MAC LC III

with 4 Megs of RAM and a 160 Mb. HD

Whooaaaa! :D

I switched over to Windoze when I got a job in CNC manufacturing

and the team had to learn/use Win.98 to run the machine!

That's when I discovered that the MAC OS and Windoze wasn't that different

and at that same time my G3 died on me..couldn't get the parts..

In those days Mac. OS9 was clearly ahead of Win.98.

You should like Coconut Court...

has a great beach with the Western end of the boardwalk to the left,as you face the water.

Once you're on the boardwalk with your camera

it's a pleasant stroll Eastward to Accra/Rockley for a swim..and a flying fish sandwich at one of the snack shacks, beachside.

-or you can go the other direction from Coconut Court,

Westward towards Hilton..and have a swim there!

Have lunch at the Hilton's beach bar where the Flying Fish sandwiches are A-OK, trust me!

Do one direction on one day, the other direction on another day

and take in a whole lot of South Coast-line!

Coconut Court's just about halfway along that whole strip!

I used to work at Boeing painting helicopter parts in the late 80's . I remember walkin' over to see the new state of the art CNC plasma cutters . Amazing to see what speed and precision they brought to sheet metal fabrication . Really cool . I would imagine they were using windows (windoze lol) all along .

See now I have another excuse to come back and stay awhile . We were at the Coconut court for three days in November , missed our ship and picked it up there . I called Ron from wasn't me and he recommended it . We only strolled to the boardwalk so now I need to investigate furthur .Believe it or not the burgers at CC are maybe the best I've ever had .

I actually bought a used G3 from my friend in St. Croix , cost a fortune to ship and the monitor came smashed and DHL never honored the insurance . So I understand hesitation at shipping for a small fortune . Nice chattin ! Ted
