Weather in Galveston in January

It's hard to say. Usually anywhere from 30-70 degrees farenheit. Doesn't much matter..we have a saying in this area (Houston/Galveston).."if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes..it'll change".

Well, after living in Houston for almost 64 years, I was going to say that it could get as low as the low 20s overnight (rare, but it has happened) and it could be has high as 80 in the afternoon. I've also seen it go from 80 to 20 in about 24 hours!

First and last full at-sea days can be chilly if the Texas weather is chilly -- especially because of the wind on sea days. But we have done several cruises in January. You should be just fine. Be sure to bring a jacket and have it with you (not in checked luggage). If you are driving, allow lots of extra time especially if there is any snow or ice on the way.
