uksimonusa Posted September 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2010 Do you have to go to their computer center or do they have it in the rooms like hotels? Freedom and Oasis class have wifi in the cabins, the rest have wifi hotspots around the ship and an internet cafe

klingoncruiser Posted September 25, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2010 You are charged no matter where you are on the ship. Internet is NOT free. You will find it slow and expensive. You can run the price down by buying a package, but will never beat the slow service. Be prepared.....
willing292 Posted September 25, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2010 If your cabin is close to a hot spot, you may be able to pick it up in your cabin.:)

bionicman97 Posted September 25, 2010 #9 Share Posted September 25, 2010 It was very convenient to have wifi in the cabin on our recent trip on the freedom. You go to the computer center, pick the wifi option, swipe your card and create a user name and password. Pick your plan and you are done. When you go to log on on your computer, it pops right up asking for your user name and password. Enter it and click connect. Then it will tell you to bookmark a page to come back to when you log off. When you are done, go to that page and log off and it will tell you how, ouch you have used. I also turned off my wifi once I logged out.

drrich2 Posted September 25, 2010 #11 Share Posted September 25, 2010 There are some strategies for keeping down costs a bit. Write out your e-mails so they're ready to send, then log on & send them. You can write in a word processor, then copy & paste to the e-mail if you like. For web browsing, open each page you want to view in a new tab, let them load, log off & then sit & read them. And yes, be sure to formally log off from every session. Richard.
