Back from Pacific Sun

Thought I'd say Hi. I'm sooo burnt. I'm kinda happy to be home but wanting to be back on the ship. I just finished making my bed. Nearly started crying and wishing Sohjay and Abdul were here. I miss em already. I ran into Fiola (drink steward) as I was leaving. She ducked out to do some shopping. I borrowed a cocktail menu so I can make up my cocktails and pretend I'm still there by the pool. Unpacking is a nightmare. Hope someone is going to do a review. I dont know what to write. Got a tip to cashout my card at the casino and avoid the purser queues but I used it all up anyway. I'll think about doing a review - maybe.

I forgot --- i recorded Max's BON APPETTITO - ALRIGHT on my phone so I can annoy everyone as much as it drove me mad. Keith & Rita - Your lucky he's on annual leave from today.

Ugh! that had to be the most annoying thing...my friends and I couldnt stand it! I'm definitely doing a review of the ship. It's a pity we didnt organise to meet all the cruise critic people one evening or something, becasue it would have been mad to put some faces to your names :)

Hi everyone. I haven't been on Pacific Sun, but was in Sydney just yesterday and snapped this picture from our hotel window. Thought someone might like it as you wouldn't be able to get this photo if you were on board! Email me if you want a better copy.

That photo is fantastic! I'd love to get a better copy of it, however i'm unable to email you as you have disabled the option to allow board members to email you. If you could send a copy of that picture to navjeet_r@hotmail.com it would be much much appreciated :D

Hi Crunchie

I just sent the photo to your hotmail address. It's in high resolution so you get a nice quality picture, but hence it's a big file. If it doesn't work due to overloading your email capacity, drop a line back here and I'll send it smaller.

Cheers

Lyn

Thanks for the pic Lahore...

Quick question, when you took that photo was P. Sun under its own steam or a tugboat ?

Have a close look at the pic and see how many vehicles are on the Sydney Harbour bridge... omg where would you rather be... stuck in traffic or at the most exciting time possible, i.e. on the start of your cruise :)

cheers.

Samushy,

I was wondering what theme nights were on your cruise and how many formal nights there were?

I remember that you were stressing over what to wear (I am also). Can you shed some light on what to take and wear, how formal were the formal nights and did many dress up for theme nights?

Hope you will PLEASE...:) do a review for us all.

Regards

Kazza1

There were 2 formal nights. I'd say it wasn't too formal. I just wore a black skirt and a black top which had a bit of silver on it. There was a country and western night but after dinner. Didnt see anyone dressed up. I think the party was in the OZ club but I didnt go. Think it was the night I was a bit queesy and went to bed. There was a PJ party (after dinner). A super hero/villian theme. Didnt see any in costume. A Island night theme. Mostly everyone had something as it was the first port day. A guy at my table was sent back to his cabin to change at dinner as he was wearing shorts on a smart casual night.

Hi everyone,

4 days to go and I am so excited, first cruise and all. We are going on the Easter Cruise on the Pacific Sun.

I was wondering if the review that "Past it" wrote was up anywhere?

Thanks.

Res.

:) Hi Resgene, I'm sure you will have a good time, is this your first cruise? I did the review but somehow it has gone to the wrong section. The moderater said she will try and retrieve it.I did not keep a copy and don't feel I could go over everything again. I have moved on and thinking of the next one!! Ron & Neicy are on it at the moment and they said they will post. If there is anything you want to know, let me know.

Resgene,

Hi, I am cruising in 2006 also on Pacific Sun. I have some alcohol price information from other recent cruise people (past It included - thankyou).

Average bottle of wine with Dinner: $25 - $35

Cocktails $7 - $15

Basic Spirits $5 - $6

Unfortunately I havent found out the beer prices but I imagine looking at these prices its basic Pub costs? I would guess $3 a pot or schooner (standard ale). Could you do me one small favour and find out if there is a daily happy hour and what times, which bars etc, would be greatly appreciated !

Enjoy your cruise and PLEASE tell us what you think / saw / liked / disliked etc.

Whoey.
