Special orders at lunch time

We do not usually eat dinner (on a cruise or at home). We prefer to have a lavish lunch and then just a light snack in the evening. I'm wondering if we could, once in a while, put in a special order for lunch. For instance: I love Dover sole, but its not really a lunch item. Does anyone "in the know" think it would be okay for me to order this for lunch? -- Of course giving 24 hour notice.

I know this puts us a little out of synch with our fellow cruisers. The day seems to culminate with a grand dinner. I think its wonderful but we just aren't really big on eating in the evening.

Thanks for any input on this!

I often order a special meal for lunch. I think it's more convenient for the chef and the MDR is quieter and less rushed. I think it's a better time than doing it at dinner. I shouldn't think there would be any problem, just plan ahead with the MD and Chef.
