wingit Posted September 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2010 We do not usually eat dinner (on a cruise or at home). We prefer to have a lavish lunch and then just a light snack in the evening. I'm wondering if we could, once in a while, put in a special order for lunch. For instance: I love Dover sole, but its not really a lunch item. Does anyone "in the know" think it would be okay for me to order this for lunch? -- Of course giving 24 hour notice. I know this puts us a little out of synch with our fellow cruisers. The day seems to culminate with a grand dinner. I think its wonderful but we just aren't really big on eating in the evening. Thanks for any input on this! JaneBP Posted September 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2010 I often order a special meal for lunch. I think it's more convenient for the chef and the MDR is quieter and less rushed. I think it's a better time than doing it at dinner. I shouldn't think there would be any problem, just plan ahead with the MD and Chef.

johnnycruise Posted September 30, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 30, 2010 I have made special orders for both breakfast and lunch. As long as you provide sufficient notice, the chef will accommodate you. Dover sole is regularly featured on the dinner menu, so that request should be no problem.
