dos equis Posted October 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2010 Hi everyone, Just home from my Epic cruise. I have a TON of information to post here... I'll try to get it all together over the next few days. I have all of the "changing" daily menus in the main dining rooms, lots of tips, opinions and secrets, and hundreds of pictures. I kept a journal while I was on board too, giving my day-by-day report, and I'll put a link up to that once I get it all edited. Overall... this vacation was abso-effin-lutely amazing. By far the best cruise ship I've ever been on. I went into this cruise after having read these boards for months, seen all the negative reviews, and to tell the truth, I was a little nervous for what I would experience. I wasn't expecting the best, but I can honestly say that every single thing that I was worried about ended up not being an issue in the slightest. If you're someone like me: a person who really cares about getting the best bang for your buck and expects a great product, I don't know how you could be let down by this ship and company. The Epic is amazing, the staff is amazing, and NCL has a really great product. I can't wait to post my full review to tell you what, in my opinion, made this trip unforgettable. Stay tuned! Oh and Len- if you're reading this, don't worry I'm going to post my review in the "reviews" section too! I know it's a pet peeve of yours.

coffeebean Posted October 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 3, 2010 You sound like you had a great time. We are on Epic in two weeks and I'm waiting patiently for your review. Did you have the new dinner for the Cirque Dreams show? If you did, how was the food compared to the food in other restaurants on the ship? RNPJN Posted October 3, 2010 #7 Share Posted October 3, 2010 We were on the same amazing cruise with you and will be posting our review shortly too - and am sure not as lengthy as you! We were so busy trying to experience everything, forgot completely about taking any notes. I'm just saying, if someone gets bored on this ship, it is entirely their own fault. The entertainment is over the top. The top management is easily accessible and the cruise director is always out and about. We've never experienced a more friendly staff. Personally, I don't care for the layout of the balcony cabins, but so what. Thats not something that can be fixed easily and its surely not going to prevent us from sailing the Epic again. And there was only 1 time I noticed a lot of smoke in the casino area - and 2 hours later, we walked past the same area, the smell was gone. & there was always empty loungers, maybe not right by the pool but they are available. A noticeably empty spot was on the 18th deck. All you have to do is look or even ask one of the NCL staff. & while I missed a promenade deck, there is ample space for walking about on the upper sun decks. Don't miss Moderno's (we ate there twice) - O'Sheehans is great for breakfast - and my husband got a great haircut at the barber shop for $29, tip included. kitsVA Posted October 4, 2010 #25 Share Posted October 4, 2010 Starters Main Courses I remember getting Chicken and Shrimp curry even on Pearl and it was excellent. Also, we got several Samosa. They were tiny and great with the mint sauce they provided.
