Any repeaters to Costa Maya know anything about this resort? The are offering online discount for day pass. It is in Mahahual.

It's the very first "resort"/beach facility on the malecon. Just past the lighthouse. Been "refurbished" in the past year or so. Used to be the Blue Bay Beach Club. I've never stopped there as I go further down. But the pictures look nice.

OK, Thanks. We are going to give it a try. Food, drinks, lockers, shade, chairs and kayaks for a discounted $32.00 if reserved on line. How bad can it be? Right on the malecon.

We were there a couple weeks ago. We found a vendor right at the port offering the day pass for $30, which included transportation to but we had to catch a cab back (like $2 per person).

 

THE BEST $30 WE HAVE EVER SPENT! We had a group of about 12-14 that went and it was a blast! The food was not impressive but the 10-15 shots of tequila we each consumed numbed the taste buds anyway....:D

Thanks. Nothing like a recent visit to confirm one's choice. You got it a few bucks cheaper, but close enough. We have been to most of the islands so many times that we usually look for a day pass. Never found one this cheap that included drinks.

We were there and enjoyed ourselves . . . it really depends on how much you plan to drink whether the price is worth while. We also stopped more recently, went to an ala carte places and got a bucket of beer, a couple margaritas, a large (sharable) entree, 2 loungers, umbrella and get away for $30 total including a 20% tip. Same beach, same water . . .
