How are local tours are in Belize for snorkeling and/or cave tubing

I'd like to just walk off the ship and catch a private tour in Belize. Not sure if it will be cave tubing or snorkeling. Has anyone done this before in Belize?

 

We usually don't reserve the ship excursions and take a chance with a local tour group. We've been lucky in the past for some awesome tours and great deals versus the cruise ship cost of excursions.

We just got off the vaLor on 10/3 and did a snorkel trip to sergeants key thru carnival. It was called Hugh Parkey's. Best excursion of our trip.

One thing to be aware of is that Belize is a tender port, you don't just walk off the ship and find a tour. The tender ride is long 20 - 25 minutes after leaving the ship. When you get ashore there are tours available. Be sure to allow 90 minutes to get back to the ship.

You do have to tender in Belize. I would recommend Major and Minor Tom for cave tubing. They do have other tours through their website. A friend ours recomended them and they were outstanding. Check out their website http://www.**************** or google them. Charlie was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and we had an excellent time.
