kittyluvrnurse Posted October 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2010 Q: looking at booking the 3 hour snorkel tour with Rubaiyat Catamaran Cruises. Is it worth the money on most of these Catamaran companies to go for the lunch cruise, or is the food so-so? Wondering if there is really great food in Bridgetown somewhere I'd be missing... kittyluvrnurse Posted October 11, 2010 Author #2 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Yes, bumping this one. NO one has an opinions about Catamaran tour food vs. food in town? Don't want to commit to a full day tour if the food is fantabulous in town!
Aplmac Posted October 11, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Try Brown Sugar Restaurant, right next door to Island Inn -both of them just off Bay Street on Hilton Drive, which leads to the Hilton.. .
thatbloominplace Posted October 28, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2010 i'm not a big fan of the cat snorkeling tours in barbados.the snorkeling will only be so-so and the food will be mediocre at best. there is good island food in barbados. as was just mentioned, brown sugar is a great introduction to bajan food--they offer an extensive lunch buffet. another way to immerse yourself, would be to try food at the food court at the corner of that street (it leads to the hilton) where you could try rotis and jamaican beef patties. then walk toward the hilton where you will see a small shack selling fish cutters. there will probably be a line, but it worth the wait. after lunch, you could walk to town for a little shopping or take a cab to accra beach for a swim. this, to me, is a real day in barbados. steve
