BayouGirlUSA Posted October 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2010 Has anyone heard if the Triumph is changing itineraries because of Hurricane Paula? Would love to hear if anyone knows anything!
serene56 Posted October 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2010 http://www.cruisecritic.com/news/news.cfm?ID=4139 Carnival Triumph is also swapping two ports for one to avoid Paula. Instead of stopping in Progreso and Cozumel, the ship will visit Key West on Wednesday.

serene56 Posted October 13, 2010 #6 Share Posted October 13, 2010 Thanks for the link! I guess my daughter will be heading to Key West! I can only imagine the disappointed people lining up at the pursers desk-- thinking Cozumel (sounds so exotic) and winding back in Florida--arghh. Poor cruisers. dane225 Posted October 13, 2010 #7 Share Posted October 13, 2010 I noticed that the Ecstasy is getting to go to Veracruz!! Lucky them!! We were on a cruise on the Ecstasy right after a hurricane hit Cozumel and we were re-routed to Veracruz and loved it. I wish Carvial would add it to their ports of call!! We were on a cruise on the Ecstasy right after a hurricane hit Cozumel and we were re-routed to Veracruz and loved it. I wish Carvial would add it to their ports of call!! When we were rerouted to Veracruz to avoid Mr. Ivan in 2004, we were told that we (Celebration and Holiday) were the first cruise ships to ever stop there. Don't know if that's true, but they sure had no idea what to do with us there. There was nothing to do except shop at the outdoor market next to the port. Have they added more activities and made it better now?
