We were on the Victory from the 3rd to the 7th and they said they don't do fireworks. But they sais usaully dry close to land to watch the fireworks like the QM2 does. But it was so foggy on our cruise that we couldn't see the fireworks.

We were on the Spirit on the 4th of July, they stayed longer at a port so we could see the fireworks, at the jewerly store on ship if you wore red white or blue you got in for a drawing of some sort and all the waiters sang God Bless America. Since it was Alaska they did serve baked Alaska and even gave out a glass of free champagne not sure what they do on the warmer cruises

There were no fireworks on our cruise PRE 9/11. Isn't there something about fireworks at sea being a distress signal (or is that just a "Titanic" story?). We have been on two cruises over the 4th, and no fireworks. The first cruise (on Carnival) had virtuaally no recognition of the holiday. Two years ago on Celebrity, though, the ship was decorated, the children's program put on a parade, and after that the ship's captain blew the horn for quite a long time - that sounds corny, but actually it was kind of moving.
