Question about final payment...

Is it true that once I have paid my cruise in full that I am not eligible for any price changes or upgrades? :confused:

Parts of what you said ... MAY be true.

 

You gave us no info, so we can only do what ifs.

 

IF you booked early saver, you can get price drops up to 2 business days before your cruise.

 

IF you booked any other fare, Iv always been able to get a upgrade to the category that matches what I paid ... if you get a no, perhaps the rep was going home and just didnt want to take the time ... call back!! Iv never seen anyone not be able to upgrade, though it might have taken more than one call.

Thanks Firefly333. I did book ES for Jan 23,2011 on Sensation. I owe $50.00 and it will be paid off. I just didnt know if once I paid it off if I blew my chances for upgrades ?

On the ES price drop form, you can check either box, upgrade or OBC. If you see a free upgrade, and you want that plus OBC, then you would check both boxes.

 

I would also clearly state what you want in the comments section, note the time and date you see the price drop etc.

You can get upgrades and/or OBC up till 2 days before your cruise!!

2 business days. Just in case, so you wouldnt get upset later on.

 

I assume this means saturday and sunday, though I know one poster who got it anyway.

Not that it's going to happen because the ship is getting full, but....

 

My cruise leaves on a Monday. So, this means that if the price dropped on the Friday before, I could get the difference in OBC, but if it drops on Saturday (2 days before my cruise,) I will not be eligible because that's not a business day....or is it? Is Carnival headquarters open on Saturday?
