Delos, Mykonos, and beach in one day?

We will be docked in Mykonos from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. If we take an early ferry to Delos, visit there, then head back to Mykonos, will we have enough time to sightsee in Mykonos and go to the beach or am I trying to cram too much into a day?

I think it would be too much, but I guess it depends on how ambitious you are....

 

The ferries to Delos are at 9:00 am and 11:00 if I remember correctly. If you take the 9:00 am, you'd have to wait for the 11:00 to arrive (around 11:45), so I assume it would leave Delos at 12:00 noon, getting back to Mykonos around 12:45. You'd want to be back to the ship around 5:00 pm for a 6:00 pm departure.

 

Sorry, but I don't think 4 hours would be enough time to go to the beach and see Mykonos town, unless you only want to snap a picture!

I would skip the beach - even though the naturist beaches in Mykonos are quite "interesting"!

 

Mykonos is unique, and to explore it and to enjoy it you'll need some hours.

Yes you can do it, though as others have said it will be a busy day.

 

a) Delos in the morning,as others have said: back at Mykonos harbour before 1pm;

b) get the next bus to PLaty Gialos or Paradise, and spend 90 minutes or so there;

c) after that get the next bus back into Mykonos town & explore (or find a bar & drink);

d) get the last shuttle bus/tender back to the ship.

 

Point 'd' is the important one....
