disneyd Posted October 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2010 We(3 of us) will be on the new Carnival Magic ship next September docking in Monaco. We want to shop and visit St. Paul de Vence and Eze only. We do not want a guide. We just want dropped off at each point and then returned to our cruise ship. Do you think we would be better off getting a cab to these points or should we hire a tour company. Thank you for your help.
Rare Hlitner Posted October 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2010 These two places are a significant distance from each other and using a taxi would cost you hundreds of Euros. The most cost efficient way to see both of these places would be to simply rent a car in Monte Carlo and drive yourselves (total cost would be about $100 if you reserve in advance). It is also possible by public transit (we have discussed the details many times in previous posts). Hank
Dushi Posted November 24, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 24, 2010 From Monaco, Eze La Village is only a bus ride away. St Paul de Vence is much further away. We docked in Villefranche which is south of Monaco. From VF, our friends took a bus to Nice and then another bus to St Paul de Vence. So if you intend to see both towns, then start with St Paul de Vence.
BiggiB Posted December 4, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 4, 2010 Bonjour! Try one of the many limousine services in Monaco. They offer flat rates for day-long transfers, without guide. A list of services can be found on: http://www.monte-carlo.mc/en/mc/directory/tourism/limousines/.
