Celebrity Constellation

I've been on both, a couple of times, and each is great in their own way. The Constellation has received the "Solstice Class" upgrades, so she offers a lot of what Solstice does. You won't make a mistake by booking Constellation.

Interesting - I went on the Constellation last year and the food was beyond bad. Their featured steak was a badly grilled flank steak (it's a marinating steak) and the salmon with risotto was a microwaved piece of salmon, an ice cream scoop of rice, and an ice cream cream scoop of salsa. When I asked the waiter where the risotto was, he just said "mix the salsa and rice" and walked away. From other things that went on during the cruise, I think we just got a really, really, really bad cruise.

We were on the Constellation this past August after the "Solisticizing" and the food was very good in the MDR, and wonderful in Bistro on Five, the Tuscan Grille and Ocean Liners. Everyone at our early seating MDR table commented several times on how good their meal was, and I never heard a complaint about any item. From what I have heard from other Constellation cruisers, this is typically what you can expect. However, I guess there can be an occasional mistep by the chefs.

BTW, trainfan, I too am a train fan, so at least we have something in common :D
