elmwood Posted November 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2010 We are going to be onboard over Christmas and wondered if anyone who had sailed at the same time could tell us what, if any, recognition of the holiday is made. We are not religious ourselves and often travel at this time of the year and in the past have experienced (at ClubMed) special meals with a lot of seafood and champagne, both on Christmas Eve and Chistmas Day. Fore67 Posted November 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2010 Long time since posting. I know that my brother has spoken of his experiences on the PG at Christmas many times. My brother is Hal, the piano player, who would regularly dress up as Santa for Christmas day and visit the motu or whatever place the PG was moored. Unfortunately, Hal suffered a broken leg during his most recent contract while the PG was in Raiatea. He has been in surgery and is now recovering back in Vancouver. I know he will dearly miss being Santa but sends his warmest regards to all who sail over the holiday season. Kindest regards, Mike PG 2001, 2004

Do give him best wishes from all his fans here at CC.
