Spender Nui Posted November 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2010 Does anyone have the Dining Room seating chart for CB, Crown, Emerald & Ruby?
Toto2Kansas Posted November 2, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2010 I have never seen a dining seating chart posted before. I think mainly as it can change from sailing to sailing. Good luck on your hunt though!
Colo Cruiser Posted November 2, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2010 The seating chart changes every cruise.
cattolica Posted November 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2010 Only the Maître d' has the seating chart and it does change with every cruise and every ship. Had a long conversation with the Maître d' on the Pacific Princess last year and he did say keeping everyone happy is a very tough job. Luckily we are easy cruisers and were not asking for anything special. He was just such a nice guy and fun to chat with.
Bowie MeMe Posted November 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2010 I have seen on Oceania that they had a program on laptop computer that the M'D used to seat folks. Oceania has free style dining rooms for the whole ship and it did seem to work well. We usually "opened" the restaurants up and with 3 we often sat just us in the window at 6 PM:) There they did seem to have some tables that could go from large to smaller configurations. Perhaps they do that too each cruise on Princess.
Pam in CA Posted November 3, 2010 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2010 The seating chart would change with every cruise and ship. The table tops can be, and are, changed constantly. The pedestals are stationary but the table top could be for four or six, eight or ten. No way to predict that because it depends on the number of passengers and seating requests. The Maitre d' keeps and maintains the seating chart and even changes it after the first day. I've seen them do that. Good luck with your search for a seating chart. If you happen to get one, it'll be obsolete.
Spender Nui Posted November 3, 2010 Author #7 Share Posted November 3, 2010 Thanks to everyone for your response. I didn't realize the tabletops changed size.
cruiserus Posted November 3, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 3, 2010 I have seen the staff even change the tabletop size from one seating to the next on a single voyage. A table for 4 became a table for 8 at the second seating.
notentirelynormal Posted November 3, 2010 #9 Share Posted November 3, 2010 Even when we had 3 tables for our group they changed them around .. sometimes the middle one sat 4 sometimes 6 and as we were leaving they were changing it to an 8 top for the next seating.
