drew sailbum Posted November 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2010 Local news has announced that the public bus depot has moved back to its previous location by the library on Edward Street. You can walk from the waterfront down Fort Street or Cardinall Avenue until you reach Edward Street. From Fort Street it would be a right turn and from Cardinall Avenue it would be a left turn to reach the library.

We have rented a car in Grand Cayman, and taken taxis to 7 mile beach several other times......Is there a local bus from the library to Rum Point beach?? What other areas of Grand Cayman would be doable by bus for cruise passengers?

What other areas of Grand Cayman would be doable by bus for cruise passengers? The bus routes, such as they are, do not go as far as Rum Point. The North Side bus stops about 3 miles short of Rum Point. You can often pay a driver an additional amount to divert from the original route, and might be able to reach Rum Point that way. The problem is that no bus would be coming to Rum Point to pick you up for the return. In short, rent a car to get to Rum Point. Most other areas of the island are accessible by bus. What is the current price to go to 7 mile beach on the bus? What number bus do we take? The bus fare should be CI$2=US$2.50 per person, each way from George Town to Seven Mile Beach. Any West Bay bus (route 1 or 2) will pass the length of Seven Mile Beach.
