Pebble Pup Posted November 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2010 We are cruising out of Galveston on January 30 and one stop will be Falmouth. Our friend uses a motorized chair. Can he get off? Any recommendations of things to do there?
Camlott Posted November 5, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2010 This is a new port, so probably not going to find much info on specifics yet. No cruise ships have actually sailed there yet. The port has been delayed in opening until later next spring. If you check out RCI's website they are now listing Montego Bay as your Jamaica stop for Jan. 30 sailing instead of Falmouth. (Actually, in one place it lists Montego Bay and lists Falmouth in another, so who knows where you will actually stop) I am scheduled to stop there as well in April, but have my doubts that it will be ready then. It has already been delayed more than a year.
mary_228 Posted November 10, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2010 I think you'll get a better response on the Ports of Call section of the message boards.
cb at sea Posted November 10, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 10, 2010 Or, get a guidebook that includes Jamaica...it will tell you about all the cities, and what there is to do there. Just because ships aren't stopping there yet, doesn't mean life isn't happening there! The guidebook should have handicapped info in there, too.
