Manzanillo private tour ?

We will be in Manzanillo in January. Unfortuantely we are only in for 6.5 hours. The normal tours out in the country are not being offered due to our short time in port. Are there independent tour operators in the dock area we could hire for 4-5 hours to see the countryside ? We have no interest in staying right in town - been there , done that.

There are certainly taxis at the port that you could hire.

WE had a wonderful private tour but it took about an hour to drive to the first town we visited!

I would e-mail our tour guide and tell him your problem.

He speaks excellent English and is a licensed guide so different from just a taxi driver!! He will tailor the tour to your specific interests and time schedule.

We had a great tour with Paco at Chimal Tours in January.

I am sure he can customize a trip based on your time frame. I arranged our trip via e-mail.

 We just returned from a private ATV jungle tour in Manzanillo, MX. (Carnival Spirit, Nov 4-12) We took this with Haro tours, run by Freddy Haro. We chose this tour based on his web site http://www.gomanzanillo.com/haroATV. However, the tour was not at all as advertised. In our party of two, we had an ATV with no back brakes, and the other ATV had a flat tire. We had to keep stopping to put air in the tire, but never quite enough air. This made it difficult to keep the ATV on the highway while driving 35 km per hour. We both felt unsafe, even though we are seasoned ATV riders. We did not stop and visit any of the villages or the cock fighting facility and we were not provided with the restroom and refreshment stop as advertised on the website. In short, the jungle tour we took was not the same one that we saw advertised. In emailing our concerns to Freddy, he apologized and offered us a free Auto tour if we are ever in Manzanillo again. Nice, but I still cannot recommend Haro Tours.
