Best snorkeling and beach bar

Looking for a beach with good snorkeling and a good beach bar. Any recommendations?

Although snorkeling is limited in views and wildlife, The Boatyard is a great place to snorkel and drink. Check with the taxi, as many include the entrance fees and a free drink. Google The Boatyard in Barbardos and see what they have. - Phoenix III - going PLATINUM in 6 weeks!

If you're a reasonably strong swimmer and experienced snorkeller

Accra / Rockley Beach is one of our nicest South Coast beaches

with a man-made offshore barrier reef some 15 yrs.old now

and with a fair bit of marine life now well established on it!

 

This satellite image stolen from Google Earth shows the long straight reef at upper left

about 100-150 yards offshore in usually-clear water.

 

There's an inside edge you can work along (calmer)

and an outside edge too (a bit rougher, but that depends on sea conditions that day)

 

You'll need to bring your own snorkel gear

coz I'm pretty sure they don't rent that stuff at Rockley.

 

Chairs and umbrellas, even Boogey Boards yes, but not snorkel gear..
