charges on board?

Some other items that post to your account are shore excursions booked on the ship, charges for anything you use from your refrigerator, Bingo, casino if you use your card to play, and soda cards.

Check your account via the TV in your room, and review the charges at the end of the cruise. I noticed a charge for a water from my fridge (which I did not use) but before I could complain, saw that one line down it had been credited, so apparently the room steward had made a mistake and then corrected it.

Also, you can check your S&S card everyday to keep track of your charges. It's available on your TV in your room. Just punch in your folio number which is on your card. Also, all charges will be on the main persons account, but any charges you make shows up on your account and the main persons account. Check it everyday to make sure that the charges are accurate. just to clarify...tipping is not up to me? They charge $10 pp per day? Even for kids?

what drinks are free? Tea, lemonade....anything else? Is bottled water free? May I bring my own drinks on board?

Yes, $10 per person per day, even for kids. Kids use towels, sheets, washcloths, make messes in the bathroom; kids eat meals using plates, glassware, utensils, whether they eat in the dining room or at any of the other venues (as do adults); kids eat meals, requiring someone to take their order, deliver their food to them; sometimes kids make more messes than adults.

There is a charge for bottled water. Ship water is very pure. Many folks bring an empty bottle or two, fill it from the tap, chill the second one, and go all week exchanging bottles. Tea, lemonade, milk, coffee are free. Some folks bring packets of powdered drink mix and mix their own, using ship water.

You can bring 12 non-alcoholic drinks, per person, aboard with you. These must be in your carry-on luggage. I usually bring 12 cans of soda, various flavors. Coffee & hot chocolate are also available for free. In the main dining room, you can ask for cappucino (spelling?) / espressos during dessert.

The tipping is automatically put on the account of each person at $10/day. However, if you feel that you got poor service in any of the areas, you can ask for the tip to be reduced for that area. I have never felt that this was warranted on any cruise, as they always take great care of guests. But it is up to each guest. As was noted already, kids do typically require more attention and service than adults from the people who are working for tips, so it is warranted for the tips to be included for the kids as well. If you feel you have received amazing service from anyone in particular, you can also tip them extra.

Also hot chocolate is available for free some of the time. If you use room service you won't be charged extra but should provide a cash tip to the person delivering to your room.

Our kids have always managed to find juice somewhere for free during the day. As far as water goes, the tap water on the ship is perfectly drinkable.

Last cruise our sign and sail bill was 4.something. (we got a milkshake from the specialty cafe.

Photos on formal night are 22.something

No purchase is necessary so get as many as you want taken.

The cakes at the specialty cafe are 2.50-2.75 a slice which is way more to share with two people-those things are huge.

Room service tips are in cash- soda in a can is 2.something each.

Bingo is 20 bucks a game.

yes, tips are for each person--kids included.

PS- i would like to add-- if you think you are getting poor service--PLEASE tell someone so they at least can rectify the situation
