MARINE CRUISER Posted November 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2010 My wife and i are cruising on the Legend on Jan 23rd, 2011. We have an aft wraparound suite on the Empress Deck. I've read comments that engine noise could be a problem?
firefly333 Posted November 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2010 That far up it will be white noise. Iv been practically on top of it, and it was a constant vibration you could feel in the floor. I wouldnt worry about it way up on Empress. The worst we had was a aft facing OV on Triumph, Main deck. Too much vibration when the ship turned, really shook that old ship. I've read comments that engine noise could be a problem? Al here, That's a great question! For some it's a irritant, for others it is soothing, and yet for some... it's a down-right unacceptable, vacation-destroying work of diabolical proportions requiring the cruise company to pony-up cash reimbursement..:D Better than hearing unruly drunks at 4:00 am... MissRissa Posted November 9, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2010 We had a wrap-around on the Empress deck on the Victory. It was a great cabin and never once was annoyed by engine noise. Have a great cruise!
luddite Posted November 9, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2010 Engine noise has never been a problem. I'm certain the people on Carny's Splendor are all wishing they were being honked by engine noise.
goatgoat Posted November 10, 2010 #6 Share Posted November 10, 2010 Our first cruise (in 1984) was in an outside aft cabin sitting right on top of the engine room. We found it relaxing and had a wonderful time.
