Jan/Feb 1-Day Weekend Cruise

How are they like? I never hear about them or Carnival's 2-Day on cruise critic before. Are they too short? We live in New York of course so thats no prob.

We love the one day cruises, but they really do feel quite short and can not be compared to longer cruises. The atmosphere is louder, and you tend to get more of a high energy party type cruise.........which isn't all bad. There tend to be more small groups of people, instead of familys or couples. Some use these as gambling cruises, and it's almost impossible to get a seat in the casino on a one night cruise....and NCL raises the table minimums.

The one night cruises are a great way to get on a ship and explore, to see if it is appealing enough for a longer cruise.

In January we will be doing the GEM 1 night cruise on 1/22, we will get off the GEM and do the JEWEL 1 night cruise on 1/23..........and then stay on for the following 10 day cruise. The first 1 night cruise will be our party cruise, the second one night cruise we will most likely settle into our cabin and the 10 day cruise is a relaxation cruise. :)
