I have a question after reading another thread. I know you have to be 18 to get the benefits, but if you are under 18 does it still count? like can someone under 18 reach Elite status?

Under the age of 18 the cruises will still be added to their account, but the status will not be awarded for past cruises until the Captain's Circle member actually reaches the age of 18. But all of their past cruises will count then. But no one under 18 can make Platinum or Elite status, even if they have the right amount of cruises.

Yes, when someone turns 18, they get all their accummulated cruise credits and cruise days. They can instantly become Elite.

Our kids are now Platinum on Princess, but they have a long way to go before they reach 18. Unfortunately, they get no benefits for this. We're hoping to gift them with 'Elite status' for their 18th birthdays. ;)

I would assume the only way is to take them on enough cruises to reach the Elite level when they are 18

It was my poor attempt at a joke. I was implying that when they each 18 we'll take them on a cruise so they can enjoy their Elite membership. (which will immediately accrue when they reach 18)
