AZ TRAVEL Posted November 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2010 All, Just back from a great Miracle cruise and I can't believe I have never noticed the hidden faces on the plates in the MDR. Does anyone know how many there are?

AZ TRAVEL Posted November 12, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted November 12, 2010 Look at the rim of the plates. There are at least 8 faces that are hard to see. I don't know if they have new settings but I have never noticed them before and and Platinum. Bill
DollyJ Posted November 12, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2010 :D:D:D We always refer to them as the 'ghost plates'!! Especially the grey ones!
tmt218 Posted November 12, 2010 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2010 HUM I've never noticed that before. I was always more interested in my food. I will have to check it out next cruise.
lives to cruise Posted November 12, 2010 #7 Share Posted November 12, 2010 I noticed them a few years back when Carnival changed the dinnerware to the new plates. I thought/think that the new plates are lovely especially the gold & turquoise Versace so I began collecting them. When we attended the Chefs Table dinner on our last cruise I asked if the Chef d' Cuisine would please autograph a plate for me. Made a very nice memento. :) You can now purchase them in Formalities. Unknotted Posted November 12, 2010 #18 Share Posted November 12, 2010 I think maybe I see one. Are they like creepy little gremlin looking guys? If not, then I still don't see them in the photos, lol.

It's hard to tell in the photos, but I noticed them on the ship, and if I recall correctly, they look like Victorian women as seen from the side (face and body in a profile view). Unknotted Posted November 12, 2010 #20 Share Posted November 12, 2010 OK, I guess I'm still not seeing them then. I'll definitely be looking for them on our next cruise though. CruisinManiac Posted November 12, 2010 #24 Share Posted November 12, 2010 I found a better pic of the charger. Warning: The onion soup is not very appetizing to look at. See the two women?
Tbay-eh Posted November 12, 2010 #25 Share Posted November 12, 2010 It is called subtle advertising - do you ever notice how after you eat you want to go get your picture taken and spend a wad on ship photos. Or maybe it IS just one too many DODs.
