We saw this tour on The Travel Channel this week. We are interested in doing this. Has anyone done this? We are interested in some comments on this. We will be there in May (22-28) on a 5 day land/7 day cruise (May 28-June4) on Princess, don't know if they offer this early in the season. Any other recommendations with what to do with our free time?

But, having done a few boat tours in the area (plenty of 2 for 1 coupon offers) and also on this particular river- they are nothing to write home about. McKinley is rarely seen, and wildlife rare. IF you are comparing it to a TV special, they probably had to do filming for weeks, to get that single good footage.

We are at Denali Lodge and Mckinley Lodge. We wanted something adventureous. I was hoping you would reply. I have read quite a few of your posts and you you are very knowledgeable about Alaska.
