sheffield Posted November 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2010 I have a hold on cabin 1576 but I think this is in the section with the larger overhang. Are cabins 1556-1602 and 1551-1597 the ones that are affected by this? Thanks for help with this.
The Viking Posted November 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2010 It seems as your stateroom has the larger of the overhang which is what we have choosen for our upcoming cruise on Eclipse. We love large overhang so we can enjoy the balcony even in bright sun on "our side" of the ship. Another reason we love overhangs is that when it rains, everybody leaves the open decks of the ship and it can be a madhouse indoors. The balcony, where we can sit an enoy ourselves in the rain, is a great refuge in such situations.

If you go to one of the last pages on the link there should be a link to the database which is excellent. Just look for you cabin number. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=911018
unfdoug Posted November 23, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 23, 2010 I was in 1572 last week. Here is some video I took: We had an overhang.
2morecruises Posted November 23, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 23, 2010 Having sailed S class ships twice both in AQ class (1608 & 1600) every cabin has the overhang & 95% of the balconies are the same size. Never had a wind problem (maybe because we always had great weather). If you want sun on the balc forget AQ. Otherwise a great stateroom that comes with extra amentities. 2MC edited to add: BTW, we booked AQ again (1600) on our May East Med Cruise

Also, if you like to sit on the balcony and read, bring a light. No lights on the verandas.
