Scarlett09 Posted November 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2010 Hi, I am just wondering what are the excursions like in the Cook Islands. We are considering for Aitutaki either the Circle Island Drive or the Aitutaki Discovery Safari or the Lagoon Cruise and Beach Break. Has anybody here been on these, and have any comments on what you see? Thanks
Emdee Posted November 28, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2010 Lagoon Cruise and Beach Break is wonderful. The colours of the various areas in the lagoons and sand bars are spectacular. I would definitely do this again.
shorton Posted November 28, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2010 The Aiutaki excursion to One Foot Island was wonderful. Don't miss it.
FlightMedic555 Posted November 29, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2010 We did a private lagoon tour on Aitutaki (look at my trip report) and the Rorotonga 4x4 excursion. I would try to do a lagoon excursion of some type in Aitutaki as that is the main draw of the area. I was disappointed in my shore excusrion on Rarotonga and I would also do a lagoon excursion of some type there. After our trip the highlight were the numberous snorkel and dives that we did. While seeing some of the islands was nice what made this special was the water.
Emdee Posted November 29, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 29, 2010 We did the Raro by air which wasnt special - if I had to do it again I would do a lagoon trip here. The beach break takes you to one foot island.
