Beer & Wine

Several years ago we stayed at a Hampton, and it seems like it was not the best area of town, but there was a grocery/wine store right across a side street. Also the complimentary hotel van took us to a nice restaurant on the marina by the name of Rendezvous, I believe.

The best place to get wine and beer is at Total Wines & More which is located about 5 miles from your hotel. You can call ahead or email them with what you want and they will have it ready for you to pick up. You may want to talk to the hotel and see if a van will take you to the wine/beer shop or take a taxi. Total Wines is very near the ship terminal.

As for the area, we stay at La Quinta just south of where you are staying and found it to be nice. There were quite a few restaurants within a reasonable walking distance from our hotel but we have a car since we are able to drive to FLL.

If you are staying at the Hampton North Cruise Port on SW 12th just to the east is Southland Shopping Center with a Winn-Dixie for beer and wine and next to it is Big Daddys Liquors for all your spirit needs. Across the street from the shopping center is a delightful german restaurant Old Heidelberg. We stay at this Hampton every pre-cruise, everything is an easy walk.
