tjcox9 Posted December 5, 2010 #26 Share Posted December 5, 2010 I would have thought before OP's post that a brelly was just part of any traveler's packing list.
Spinner2 Posted December 5, 2010 #27 Share Posted December 5, 2010 We each have a "good" poncho that we can use if we need to go ashore in a serious rain but otherwise, the dollar-store ones are good enough. They tuck into luggage and go-ashore bags easily and if we use them and they're soaked we usually toss them into the trash as we reboard the ship. If you need to board a tender a poncho will keep you dry; an umbrella is a nuisance. And not much help either. We've been fine with this approach, cruising in a lot of varied weather. But everyone's comfort level is different.
world~citizen Posted December 5, 2010 #28 Share Posted December 5, 2010 After careful consideration, we have determined that under these circumstances, there is a 30% chance that we would take an umbrella along. Hope this helps.;) Smooth sailing...
