Sailing on Liberty of the Seas Jan 9/11 and I am wondering what tips and or secrets any cruisers have...secret areas, specials on board, deals on purchases later in the cruise, anything you want to add. Thanks in advance for you help.

There will be spa specials on port days, if that is your thing. Also, there will be various "sales" during your cruise. Toward the end of the cruise typically will be the best for buying t-shirts, usually 2 for one price. If you are not familiar with lunch in the dining room already, there is a great salad bar there as well as very tasty main dishes. However, the dining room is only open for lunch on sea days. If you don't want to bother with checking towels in and out at the pool, you can get all the towels you want from the gym locker room. Just leave the used towels on your bathroom floor when finished, as you do your bath towels. These are all fleet wide, not just on LOS. And if you want a larger shower than in your cabin, there are larger showers in the locker rooms. Also there are free saunas and steam rooms there. The Cafe Promenade and Sorrento's food and coffee, tea and hot chocolate are at no extra charge. You can get a snack bar mix if you ask.

We grabbed snacks and lunch at Sorrento's or the Cafe several times and brought it back to the room. Lunch in the MDR is wonderful and you can ask for a table for 2, if you'd like.

Going up to the Olive or Twist lounge prior to dinner is a nice, quiet way to enjoy a beverage or two. It's usually pretty empty up there earlier in the evening.

For some alone time on deck, try deck 3 or 4 (?) where the shuffleboard is. You're close to the sounds of the ocean and there's hardly anyone around. It can be romantic to enjoy a glass of champagne or wine while staring out at the moon on the water.

The shower head has a black button on top. Push it down to change the pressure to massage and it will help work out the kinks from the rock wall and Flow Rider :)
