What's the latest you can get off the boat?

Nobody knows yet for sure if the procedure will be different with Dream, but with the existing ships disembarkation starts about 7:30. Your luggage (except carry-ons) is already inside the Customs area. You retrieve your bags and present your paperwork to the Customs agent, and if all is in order, you are on your way. The entire process has never taken us more than a half-hour, and usually more like 15 minutes. DCL tries to have the ship vacated by about 10am to prepare for the next cruise.

The procedure and the time elements may change with Dream, since her passenger load is considerably larger than Magic and Wonder.

I want to think we left around 9:30 am, and by then they were beginning to make it pretty clear that it was time to leave.

Yes, they typically start the announcements encouraging you to leave around 9am. I imagine by 9:30 they are starting to herd the remaining passengers out. Doesn't give them a ton of time to turn things over and get the new passengers on at 11:45.

We did a B2B and just took it easy at the end of the first cruise and were surprised to see how many people were still eating breakfast after 9am. You could tell the servers were starting to get antsy.

You have to be out of your room at 8:00 Your breakfast ranges from 6:30 am to 8:15 am depending on the restaurant you ate at the night before. You bring your carryon with you to breakfast, as they ask you to disembark after breakfast.

(remember they have to prep the rooms, as new passengers start boarding at about 12:00 noon, with rooms ready by 1:00pm)

9 am, they want you heading out. By then, the baggage area is only 25% full, as 75% of the people have left the ship. Disney has added to their terminal to accomodate the increased passenger capacity. Getting off has never taken us more than 10-15 minutes. Nice new feature, is if your flying in, you can do most of the sign in process in the MCO airport, while you wait for a Disney transfer. Metrowon

Going on the Dream next month and wondering what's the latest you have to be off the boat and what is the usual process of disembarking? On other cruise lines it's a nightmare.

They want you out around 9. And disembarking took us about 15 minutes. No hassle at all.
