Bringing refrigerated medication on board

Does anyone have any experience with bringing refrigerated medication on board? Are you able to keep it in your room fridge? Also, is there anyone we should contact prior to sailing? It's not a controlled substance but with the new regulations I thought I might have to notify someone.

My DDP's mom didn't have any trouble bringing on her insulin. She used a special line at the airport to go through security with needles and then told security at checkin and it was no trouble. I think she asked and recieved a "sharps" disposal thing for her room.

Many of the "refrigerators" in cabins are more "coolers" than "refrigerators". If your medication really is temperature sensitive -- you really need to keep it at a specific temperature (and not just "cool"), then you best notify the special needs department at NCL (or any other cruise line) and let them know. They do have some actual refrigerators that they can move into your room, and if not, can best tell you how to manage with your meds.

I concur with this - I've had mixed experience with mini-fridges keeping things cold.
