TSmith48 Posted January 2, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2011 Can anyone please confirm that the Quest docks at Klong Toey Port in Bangkok on April 6th 2011? And how far is the dock from the city? Could a reasonably active 65 year old walk it? Many thanks in advance. Tara
AZTX WORLD CRUISER Posted January 2, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2011 Tara, We've been told the dock is in the heart of the city. We are cruising on the 22 Jan Quest Sailing so, once we return, we can let you know how easy it is to walk and how accessible it is. More to come. Rare MVPinBoynton Posted January 2, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 2, 2011 Here is a photo of where the Quest docked for us, Klong Toey. As you can see, even though it is in town, it is a very long walk to town and even further to the Grand Palace and other sights. I wouldn't waste time walking an long distance in this amazing city. I would spend as much time sightseeing as possible. You can see what we did over our day and a half in our review on out web page www.thepreismans.com.
