Grand Bahama Island Excursions?

Are you active travelers? I would suggest the bike tour of the island. It is great exercise, a very funny and informative tour, a great lunch in the tropical park, and about an hour beach time.

Dont let the length of the tour scare you. They take all kinds of breaks for sight seeing. We had all ages on the tour and every shape and size from very fit to out of shape and everyone did fine.

Dont be afraid of Freeport. It is a great island. Most talk bad about it because the port is industrial and not over run with cruise ships. But that is what makes the island so special. It is the real Bahamas unlike Nassau which is a tourist trap. Everyone is so nice and I would prefer to go to Freeport than Nassau.

Whatever you decide, you will have a blast. Freeport is on the north side so the water is much colder than Nassau or Great Stirrup Cay. Keep that in mind if you are sensitive to cooler ocean water in case you want to snorkel.

Have fun
