missou Posted January 7, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2011 I use to look on cruisett to know how many tourists were expected in a given port on a specific day to have an adea of how populated an island would be when I was going to be there but the website seems to be totally out dated. Is there anywhere here on cruisecritic or on another website where I could find this information? Thanks for your help.
spacepotatoes Posted January 7, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2011 cruisett.com is still the one that gets recommended the most often, and it's the one I use as well. It seems to be accurate for my upcoming cruise, at least. I'd be curious to learn about other ones too, though, if there are better ones out there. johneeo Posted January 8, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2011 Each island has a port authority. For instance, St. Martin - http://www.portofstmaarten.com/schedule.htm If you go to each country, island, do a search, and you might get better info. missou Posted January 8, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted January 8, 2011 Thank you so much for your help. I beleive cruisereport is more up-to-date than cruisett. Yesterday, I was looking at the port load for an island where I will stop next February on cruisett and my ship wasn't even mentionned. I got the answers I wanted on cruise report. Thanks again!! Travelcat2 Posted January 8, 2011 #7 Share Posted January 8, 2011 Go to this site: http://cruisett.com/ports.php . Click on the port you will be visiting and put in the date (2nd screen). It will give you all the large ships. There may be some smaller luxury ships there, but, for some reason they don't list them.:)
missou Posted January 8, 2011 Author #8 Share Posted January 8, 2011 Thanks a lot!! I was looking for CELEBRITY Summit when it is only Summit that is noted :) My mistake. But I am really glad I got to know cruisereport too, that way I'll be able to compare.
