penang32 Posted January 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2011 We are Alaska cruising in May on the Island Princess and are wondering if anyone can inform us of the various charges onboard for massage and other spa services. Also wondering what percentage(average) of passengers do not dress up on formal nights and just eat at the Horizon or speciality restaurants. Understand that this may be hard to judge however would just like to get some idea as we are not really keen on going formal. Thanks
Rare 1025cruise Posted January 8, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2011 You can prebook most spa services through the cruise personalizer. There will be a price listed. Some things have a discount if you select a port day as opposed to sea day.
tequilasunrise Posted January 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2011 Spa prices vary a great deal and are discounted at various times if not sold out. It's pricey but well worth it. Full price massages can run close to $100 or more, $195 with body wrap and flotation bed. Go to the spa when you first board for some discounts or look at port days. A triple (20 min each of foot massage, scalp massage, and body scrub) will run you about $85 on port days. Lots more casual people these days, but the numbers vary from cruise to cruise. Have fun!
