This is the information I had from sometime ago. Hope it is still good. I will be calling them in Marcj.

OCEAN PLAYERS-1-888-672-2582 http://www.oceanplayersclub.com/

The telephone number referenced above is still the correct number. We will be sailing again on January 16th and my husband contacted them this week. I believe it is now called the Carnival Players Club. We used to contact them through the website, but we did call this time. He talked to one of the Player Development Coordinators. My husband gave him both of our names, sailing date of our last cruise, and the booking numbers for our upcoming cruises. He told my husband they would be sending baskets to our cabin both weeks and there will also be free play money available for each of us. To get that, we go to the casino cashier. That is how is has worked in the past also.

Happy Sailing and Good Luck!

Yes...they said it would be $125 ($100 for Mrs. Seabrookcruiser and $25 for Mr. Seabrookcruiser). Can you guess which one spends more time in the casino!!! You probably already know this, but if you introduce yourself to the casino host, they have usually given us free drinks when we are playing in the casino. They were still doing that when we did our b2b2b in May on the Dream, but that might have changed. I'll be able to find out about that when we start our cruise on January 16.

Good Luck and Happy Cruising!

Do you have to contact them each time you cruise or do they already know you are coming. Our last cruise in Nov I contacted them and received free pic coupons and chocolate covered strawberries.

Yes, you do have to contact them each time. In the past, they have also sent us the chocolate covered strawberries, delivered picture coupons to our dining table, decorated our cabin in the Bon Voyage Theme, sent us a bottle of champagne, and fruit/nut/cheese, etc. baskets. In the casino, the host has also given us Carnival Players Club tote bags, polo type shirts, t-shirts with the players club logo, caps, and pens. We usually contact them within two week of our cruise.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!

How much gambling do you have to do for these perks? I spent probably 10 hours playing during our last cruise. I play penny slots, and have received the 10.00 credit for earning so many points, almost had enough for the second time. What do tell them without sounding like a begger baby? LOL

You just call the number and ask if you are eligible at the least they give you a basket of something in your room, maybe a photo coupon.

I have never contacted Players Club and they have had all the perks, as mentioned above waiting for me in my cabin on the first day. I have also never introduced myself to the floor manager and he or she has always given me and my husband free drinks from the bar. The scary part is they come up to me and introduce themselves and they know my name. I have also received in the mail a welcome aboard can't wait to see you card from Players Club with my sail date on it. I think they want their money back!

OP, thank you for posting this question and thanks to those who responded. My DH and I are leaving on the Valor next Sunday the 16th and hubby spends many hours at the poker table while at sea. I had never heard about any deals for past cruisers so I immediately contacted the Players Club to inquire for this time. I hope the credits you get for playing aren't based on previous losses as my husband always comes out ahead (has played lots of Texas Hold 'Em and know the chances of winning hands well). He would be pretty happy if I am able to get him a few extra bucks to play with - you need a good nest egg if you want to win any real money. Thanks again all :)

I'm not sure what you have to have but DW qualified for casino cash ($100) and a premium bon voyage package. In addition we received a bottle of wine during the week at dinner and many free drinks while in the casino. She earned over 6000 points (6 $10 credits) on our last cruise and over 8000 on this one. DH spent way more on the tables but didn't get the perks that the slots paid.

When we call we tell them when we are cruising again, I've never told them how much I play. They track your play on the slots by the points you earn during the week. So when you call, they can easily pull up that information. All you have to say is we will be sailing on a certain date, and then they ask for your booking number. In the past, the amount you received was based on the number of points that you earned within the last 24 months. On one of our cruises, I won a jackpot and was issued a W2-G. I called the same number and requested a win/loss statement. They promptly sent that to me, and it showed how much I won, lost, and the number of hours that I played.

Also, I forgot to mention in my earlier post...a few months back they mailed me a casino offer, that if I booked a cruise by 11/30/10, they would give me up to 25 percent off the cruise fare plus an additional $75 cash at the casino cage. This cruise had to be taken by 5/31/11. That's an additional $75 that I will have to spend in the casino next week.

I usually spend about 40+ in the casino.

A previous poster mentioned that they know their name and also get perks and they have never registered. The casino hosts know your name, because if you are using your Sail and Sign card to track points, your name flashes on the screen where you insert your card. They do go around and observe and can tell how many points that you have earned. I've seen them approach people quite often that spend a lot of time and earn a lot of points in the casino and offer them drinks, etc. I will say that the one time in the last year that I didn't take time to call them, we did not get anything special sent to our cabin. We just received the drinks and tote bag full of casino logo items that week. It seems to work better for us when we call.:)

My husband just mentioned that table players need to show the dealer/pit boss, etc. their Sail and Sign card to get rated. Apparently, they used to rate only the $25 and above tables, but the person that my DH talked to this week at Carnival Player's Club told him...that are rating $5 and up now.

So I should just call and ask if i'm eligible for anything? I did get the "looking forward to seeing you" email a few months ago. And on our last cruise we did get a few free drinks while in the casino.

Yes...that would be fine. I do think it is best to call within a couple weeks of a cruise. Basically, it comes down to how many points you earn in the casino during a certain time period...which I think is still 24 months. On some cruises, I might earn 3,000 points and on some I've earned over 8,000. I think during one 24-month period, we took 7 cruises so the perks we were given was based on the points that we earned during that time.

I have seen some people earn 100,000 points in one cruise:eek:. I know we didn't earn anywhere near that in the 7 cruises we took. And yes...that person got lots of special treatment that week. :)

I e-mailed them last week for my upcoming cruise next week and received an e-mail back that I will get a premium bon voyage package and $150.00 in casino cash. I also had a coupon for $70.00 to turn in from an earlier offer. When we sailed last we got so many drink coupons and photo coupons that I still have some, plus she had told all the waiters and bartenders in the casino on the second day that all my drinks were free then the host on the Legend even comped us a dinner one night in the Steak House, which was the best comp we received. They are getting better and better with the free comps. On my last cruise I think I was just under 5000 points (that was in Feb 2010). Good luck everyone, it is definitely worth contacting them for.

We had contacted the CPC about our Dream cruise last week. I got a premium Bon Voyage package and money waiting in the casino, dd got a standard one. I had wine and champagne delivered from them the last 2 nights of the cruise. But best of all, when I entered my cabin for the first time, there was a letter stating I "earned" the free drink card they are now giving out for earning 1,500 points on a cruise. So when I went to the casino that night, they attached the card to my sign and sail card. Waiters literally stopped by every 5 minutes to see if I needed something. Forget all the other stuff - that was the best perk!:D

So do they offer the free drinks after 1500 points on every ship in the fleet now?

Seems like it was a successful trial but I cant seem to find confirmation of that.

I will be on the Conquest so I'm mainly interested in that...but of course it would be good to know.

I think I read somewhere on this board that they rolled this out on every ship, and got rid of the "500 pt. letter."

We will also be on the Conquest cruise with you. Even before the 1500 points program in the casino was launched, Carnival has been generous with their free drinks in the casino. I remember we started getting free drinks from the casino hosts back in 2008. On one cruise, the hosts were offering both of us so many drinks that we were turning them down. in fact, we ended up sending the casino host and one of the slot technicians flowers at the end of the cruise, because they were a lot of fun to be around, and they were very nice with the drink offers. The hosts on the Conquest have always been extremely generous with their free drinks. We have met the hosts and talked and joked around with them every day during our cruise. We have even kept in contact with some of them after the cruise. Further, we have picked them up at the port in Galveston when their ship was in and took them shopping and out to lunch. We (I) spend a lot of time in the casino (my husband little less) every single day of the cruise. I might spend 40 hours in the casino...my husband just said...it's probably closer to 60 hours during a 7 day cruise, but I like to play video poker and the slots. It's my entertainment for the week! Either way, we just go to the casino to have fun. I would be happy even if they didn't offer us the drinks.

Happy Cruising and Good Luck in the Tahiti Casino on the Conquest!:)

No it is not fleetwide....just got back from the Spirit and it wasn't offered.......
