joandian Posted January 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2011 We had a problem last year in Copenhagen. Not because of the chip but each place we tried to use our CC, they required a pin number, which we didn't have. I have it on my list to contact our bank and get the pin for the cc before our next trip. Jo
Rare kazu Posted January 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2011 I don't use my credit card in a lot of places - just major purchases and had no problems - but I do have a chip card and that's what we take with us. Always wise to take your bank card for ATM withdrawals. Oh Canada - the land of financial institutions that like security for their clients - therefore chip cards are very prevelant here. (a lot safer to use)
