Cabin 6303 on the Eclipse

The balcony is a bit larger than normal, but the view downwards is obstructed. It is all the way aft, so long walk to public places. See the sticky on cabins for a more detailed description of this stateroom: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=26945736&highlight=6303#post26945736 (see post #1086 & #1043).

You may want to post what ports you are going to if you want feedback on them; also if you have not checked out the Port of Call portion of Cruise Critic message boards, check them out. Lots of good information there.

First time on this ship, leaving on Sat for the Eastern Caribbean. We usually sail midship. Was this a good choice? Any info on the ports, shopping, sightseeing and beaches would be wonderful.

Thanks in advance

Judy

Hi Judy,:) I had this cabin in November. The cabin is nice and the balcony

is obstructed looking downward. But you have a nice view outward.

The obstruction is due to the fact the roof of Tuscan Grill is below.

It didn't bother me. It is a long walk to the elevators.

Judy - I have cabin 6303 on the Eastern route February 12th! I'm so looking forward to your review. I did the western route on the eclipse in CC in November and am really looking forward to the Eastern. I so hope we both made a great choice! Enjoy your cruise! :-)

Had this stateroom in October 2010. We found it great to be away from the crowds - so to speak, and the long walk did us good.

The balcony, as stated before, is larger than the norm. the only negative about the balcony was the top of the Tuscan Grill, but when seated on the balcony, it did not make any difference. You can see the sea and horizon etc. enjoy your cruise

For those of you who stayed in 6303, does the balcony connect with 6301 next door? We are looking at these two cabins for our family (mom, dad and two kids) and since they don't connect as cabins, we are hoping the balconies connect

For those interested, the balcony divider does open. It was nice having two oversized balconies
