elation bunk beds

We are looking at sharing a cabin on Carnival's Elation with our two teenage sons, 5'10" and 5'6". Are the two upper bunkbeds big enough for thin, but tall teens?

Yes, they are full size twin beds, same as you will be sleeping on.

They are plenty big enough. Whoever is under them don't forget that they are up there when you wake up. Wouldn't be too nice to wake up and hit your head hard having a headache all day.

There is a weight limit of 250lbs (probably not an issue here) and the ceiling is low. I'm 4'10" and my head grazes the ceiling when I sit up there.

 

The bunk bed mattresses seem to be more comfortable than the lower beds.

 

You will have more 'leg room' if you keep the lower beds apart. Not too romantic, though.

A picture is worth a thousand words.:D This is from the Paradise, sister ship to Elation. When we went, it was just me with my 2 teens, so we didn't have the beds together. I was under the window; they were along the side wall. But anyway, you get the idea. The one on top is about 5'10".

Our oldest son is 6' 4" and always sleeps in the Upper without an issue.

Youngest son is now 6' and sleeps in an Upper without an issue.
