TCF Posted January 17, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2011 Just looking for some experienced opinion. With the political turmoil unfolding in Tunisia, and the likelihood that it will continue to one degree or another for many months to come, is it likely that HAL will delete it from the Noordam itinerary? We're booked on the Noordam for next September with a stop at Tunis, so I am just trying to determine whether it is worth the time and effort to do the research and book shore excursions for this stop. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Had to search 5 pages into the HAL boards to find it but here is a thread posted a few days ago about the Tunis problems: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1336841 Joanie

If it gets added back to the itinerary there will be time to decide about shore excursions.
jtl513 Posted January 17, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2011 If you book all your excursions there from HAL rather than private ones you won't have to worry about losing money if the stop gets changed to something else. Yet another advantage of HAL excursions.
tcook052 Posted January 17, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2011 Had to search 5 pages into the HAL boards to find it but here is a thread posted a few days ago about the Tunis problems: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1336841 Joanie Alternatively you or OP could've used the advance search functionand used keywords like "Tunis" or "Tunisia" and it would've saved trolling pages 1-5. ;)

sail7seas Posted January 18, 2011 #9 Share Posted January 18, 2011 That would be a great port to book a tour with HAL, as suggested above. IMO
