NJ Johnny Posted January 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2011 Where are the January Wave sales this year? We've been waiting to book and there seems to be no sales or promotions except for the Epic promotion that has been going on for awhile. The prices for a balcony on the Gem on the NCL website for the end of June are the same as the listed catalogue rate. This has never been the case. I guess we'll just wait and see what happens. Does anyone have any inside info about future price reductions?
Azure Moon Posted January 18, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2011 Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing. We've talked with a travel agent about one cruise (for a small group of family) and she didn't know of anything, other than the upgrade, but it's not available on the date we need. Even toying with the idea of sneaking a cruise in before the "group" one. I'm also wanting to book another cruise (for 2012), but on my own with the cruiseline.

dalgirl Posted January 19, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2011 Many TAs are offering OBC, free insurance, etc. along with the usual fares - also I think there is a four category upgrade - so check around. I got a four category upgrade and 10% OBC - which translated into $200 on a Balcony cabin. They are definitely out there.
omarchs Posted January 19, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2011 I haven't been impressed with the supposed sales. There hasn't been any great deal or upgrades on the cruises I have checked so maybe things are selling well and they don't feel the urge to discount everything.
