Hello Everyone!!

My Partner and I are traveling on the Ruby and wanted to see if any other family members are aboard. We were on the Ruby - Christmas Week and found the ship to be very gay friendly.

Hope that others will be joining us. Look forward to meeting you.:)

Damn, we will be on the Ruby sailing for 02/13/11.

glad you had a nice time on the December sailing

and was gay friendly, looking forward to the trip.

did you notice alot of motion heading back north?

WDBGUY - Sorry that we are not on the same sailing - but it is our spring break. We had really rough seas for the Caribbean for Christmas and the weather did not cooperate either. We are hoping for better in March (our usual time to sail). The staff on the ship were wonderful and food was excellent. You can read my review (I did have a couple of typos) which was complete.

I hope you have a great time...:)

Hello again,

do you remember when they had the GLBT meetings

in December? what times? I am getting anxious.

WDBGUY - The information is placed in the daily "patter," as meetings were held in several bars, at different times, over the course of the week. We went to one in the bar in the back of the ship and then we generally would meet nightly in the disco, without the staff (due to some meeting-time issues for us). The fellow coordinating it for the ship was very nice.

Hope you have a great cruise. I look forward to reading your review.

we were on the Ruby Princess 02/13 to 02/20/11.

had a nice time, met another nice couple on here

and had arranged for second dinner seating at

the same table. Had a wonderful waiter, Craig

from South Africa, he was also a family member

and was very entertaining and friendly.

we had table #130 for second seating.

hope you get assigned to his table.

They only had two GLBT meetings, first

one was on Monday in back of the ship

at the Outriggers bar and the second one

was at 11:30pm in the disco later in the week.

Nobody else showed up, there seemed to be

male couples but they did not socialize.

WDBGUY - Glad that you had a good time. We currently have anytime dining and will try to fix it when we get on the ship. We are wait listed for late seating, but not up there yet... We found pretty much the same, as many couples stuck to themselves - though we did find several gay people to socialize with in the disco. Are you writing a review?

We have not heard from anyone else on here even though the ship is sold out. I am sure there must be one or two more gay people -you think?:p

Anyway, Happy Sailing on future cruises....

I always think it's fun to see the embarkation pictures

of people getting onto the ship in the photo gallery.

It kind of gives you an idea based on your gaydar.

It always puzzles me why some gay couples are so

private, just makes the trip more fun to socialize.

I guess they are afraid of a homewrecker.

WDBGUY - You are correct - some people are a bit too serious about things. My partner and I have been together over 25 years and neither of us are that insecure. We are party people (especially me) and love to socialize. Usually when we go to our local bar --we always light things up and usually we hear (in a joking way) - here comes trouble . I think I heard that on the Ruby at the Martini Bar too...:)

Two more days to go, I want to hear about

your trip when you get back and how many

GLBT's were on board, there is a blog here

about my sailing "Princess Ruby Homosexuals"

it's a little funny about someone who sailed

with us. here is a link to the Ruby Patter.

Just one little tip I wanted to share about Princess.

If you go to the future sales area, next to the internet

room, they have computers. you can only go into

Princess.com to look at other sailings and rates.

On the home page, you can send a E-card for free

to anyone you want, it allows you to include a message.

you can select different pictures of the Ruby and Princess

in general, I wrote down all my emails and sent many

emails, all my friends thought it was cool.

It said to them "Greetings from the Ruby Princess"

and allows a message up to 300 characters (i think).

have fun. I want to hear all about your trip.
